LIVING A CHILD’S DAY IN OREGON IN 1870
• Pretend that you help run your family homestead in 1870. It’s lots of work but lots of fun, too!
• Experience both the everyday joys and challenges of family life by personally engaging in realistic activities.
• Tour the 150-year-old farmhouse, tool shed, orchard, and children’s museum.
Activities may include: weaving a basket, making bread, dipping candles, washing clothes like they did, writing with quill pens, quilting pot holders,
making tin-punch lanterns, making a buzz-spinner toy, and carding wool to make a beaded bracelet.
Ages: 7-18 Date: Thursday, August 12, 2021 Time: 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Fee: $15 per participant. Check payable to Caples House Museum
