2020 – 13 Nights Band Overview
The Horn Dawgs – Rhythm and blues with touches of classic rock make up the repertoire of the Horn Dawgs. The seven piece band from Scappoose, Oregon features a four piece horn section.

Alligator Gentlemen – Brent Follis & John Hildenstein met in New York and remain commited to making music that is completely addictive. After a decade of performing, traveling, and immersing himself deep within the trenches of NYC, Brent made the sojourn back to the Rose City, where he maintains a busy recording and performance schedule, and can be found backing up many talented singer-songwriters, jazz and pop artists. Kenny Polson -Jazz saxophonist Kenney Polson is also an accomplished composer and educator. Based in the Pacific Northwest, he has lived and performed in over 50 countries. Known widely as a smooth jazz artist, his seasoned musical style incorporates Latin, classical, New Age, rhythm & blues, funk and gospel influences. – resting on a firm foundation of straight ahead jazz.
Polson has appeared on U.S. television with jazz greats Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Heath, Phil Woods, David Sanborn and Wynton Marsalis. He has performed live with Joe Williams, Gil Scott-Heron, Michael Henderson, Norman Connors, Bettye Swan, and Lee Garrett. His high-charting 2019 album For Lovers Only, blends smooth jazz with rhythm and blues and includes leading players such as guitarist Bruce Conte and keyboardist Roger Smith (Tower of Power), trumpeter Larry Gittens (Kool & The Gang), guitarist Phil Upchurch (Donny Hathaway and George Benson), and smooth jazz pioneer – pianist Tom Grant. Trombonist Fred Wesley (Parliament Funkadelic) and bassist/vocalist Michael Henderson (Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder) are also featured.
Polson was born in Kansas City, Missouri to a musical family. His grandfather, “Chubby Wayne” Harshaw (Count Basie, Cab Calloway), was a major musical influence, along with his Uncle Charles, who sang with the Coasters. Polson earned a master’s in jazz composition and arranging from Howard University in 1997.
Patrick Lamb – Patrick’s last three singles recently made top 5 nationally on the Billboard Charts on his independent label, and he was been inducted as one of the youngest members into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. Patrick was awarded three nearly consecutive Muddy Awards by the voting members of the Cascade Blues Association, the Yolanda King Arts Award “Living the Dream” at 5th Annual Drum Major, and the HERO award the Children’s Cancer Association. Given the Independent Spirit Award by the city of Portland Patrick regularly tours the the world or performs as the ‘saxophonist to the stars’ with with Grammy winners and luminaries like Gino Vannelli, Bobby Caldwell, Jeff Lorber Fusion, Diane Schuur, Bobby Kimball, Alice Cooper, and Smokey Robinson, showing that Patrick is comfortable where ever music many take him. Patrick has been managing horn sections in every city worldwide for the legendary Gino Vannelli for over a decade and has recently for Bayou Soul artist Marc Broussard.
Gabriel Cox – Gabriel Cox is an American singer songwriter from Salem Oregon. This multi-talented artist has created his own original, innovative, and quality sound. His music blends elements of blues, rock, funk, and soul, inspired by sounds of the great Northwest. He released his 2nd groundbreaking album in 2016 that has gained attention across the globe, and was nominated for The Blues Foundation’s, “Best Self-Produced Album of 2017”. Backed by a powerhouse band of all-star musicians, he has a fun, energetic, and truly unique show lined up that you simply can’t miss! He has performed all over the west coast including the Waterfront Blues Festival. His music has been featured on commercial, community, and internet radio stations throughout the US, and he’s had the privilege to work with many national and regional artists including Robert Cray, The Baha Men, and Jelly Bread. Gabriel Cox is a three-time Muddy Award nominee from the Cascade Blues Association of Portland, and his music videos have reached over 100,000 combined views worldwide! Sweet Water Band – Welcome to the Sweetwater Band! Sweetwater hails from the Northwest and serves up a dose of new and traditional country music with a rock and roll influence. Their music includes everything from classic Johnny Cash to modern Lady Antebellum, mixed with a blend of classic rock and original tunes mixed in for good measure. Although when asked what kind of music they play, they usually joke “We play BOTH kinds of music, Country AND Western!” Sweetwater always looks forward to playing live in their home state. They have formed a strong family bond, and want their fans to join in as well! They invite all y’all to come and down and say “I’m With the Band!”
